Hi, Just wanted to let everybody in the group know about PodCamp Cleveland 10, #PCCLV10, being held Saturday, May 1, 2010 from 9am - 4pm. The event is called a social media / new media un-conference and is being held at Cuyahoga Valley Career Center on 8001 Brecksville Road in Brecksville, OH. It is a casual, free-for-all informal event, that is held annually around the world, but also in cities close to Cleveland, like Pittsburgh, Columbus, Detroit, Philadelphia and others.

The event is free to attend, although pre-registration online is required. Please register here: http://www.podcampcleveland.com/register.html.

Also, we are currently looking for more session speakers as well (deadline to register to speak is April 24th). You may sign up to become a speaker and promote your company or your freelancing business here: http://www.podcampcleveland.com/sessions.html.

What is a PodCamp? PodCamps are conferences done a little differently. Think of them as conferences 2.0. Since premiering in Boston in 2006, PodCamps have earned a reputation as a more informal, free-flowing twist on the traditional conference experience. That makes sessions more animated, more candid and more fun. And PodCamps aren’t just for Podcasters. They’re for business owners who want to get involved in social media; they’re for writers; they’re for video editors; they’re for bloggers; they're for high school and college level students; they’re for Website designers and social media professionals. Really, PodCamps are for anyone who is involved in—or wants to get involved in—social media or new media. We do look forward to seeing you there.
